Super secret spy thrillers are all the rage! With the latest James Bond movie Quantum of Solace heating up the theaters with nonstop action goodness, and classic spy noir, I thought it was time that Pretentious Record Store Guy came out of the closet and professed his love of the action spy thriller genre. All of which brings us to Casanova, Matt Fraction and Gabriel Ba/Fabio Moon’s postmodern rock and roll, action spy-thriller, neo-noir sendup from Image comics.

Currently on hiatas while Fraction takes over the Marvel Universe and Ba/Moon take over comics, Casanova may be the best book you haven’t read.
